How can I help you?
I have many years experience working in clinical practice. Initially as a medical doctor and than more laterally as a counsellor, psychotherapist and leadership coach. I have lived through my own experience of limerence and had to work out the hard way what worked and what didn’t as far as my own recovery.
I have helped hundreds of clients from around the world with their own struggles with limerence and love addiction. Many are helped with just one or two sessions, others decide to invest in longer term support.

A Little about me:
I qualified as a Medical Doctor in 1984 from St. Thomas’ Hospital, London, UK. I then obtained my GP and family planning certification. I also spent time working as a hospital psychiatrist during this period.
In 1999 I left medicine to set up docleaf, a leading Crisis Management and Trauma Psychology Consultancy. During this time I gained more than 20 years expereince of helping CEO’s and other leaders deal with the most intense of business crises. This business has now transitioned into a Leadership Coaching business for helping senior leaders become more effective and self-aware. See my docleaf.com website for more information on my leadership practice.
I also have experience as a hypnotherapist and NLP practitioner. I then decided to deepen the work I was doing in my own personal psychotherapy by undertaking my own training. I completed my postgraduate diploma in Psychotherapy and Counselling from the Centre of Counselling and Psychotherapy Education in London. I also hold an advanced postgraduate diploma in Leadership Coaching from the Institute of Psychosynthesis, London.
I now work 3 days a week and spend this time working with my wife Ruth in running our couples counselling and relationship coaching practice, LoveRelations. I also run therapy groups for men wanting to become the best versions of themselves and also provide one to one individual sessions.
I have written extensively about limerence, sex and love addiction as well as trauma and PTSD. My interest and own expereince of limerence led me to set up www.limerence.net, a support forum to help those impacted by this condition.
My mission in life is to help people become more conscious by teaching and helping others and continuing my with my own self-development. I am actively involved in volunteering with the ManKind Project charity which helps men live their lives with more integrity, honesty and taking more personal responsibility.
